My Education
I know what you might be thinking. Sure, this Tom Manning guy seems like a swell fellow, but what about his roots? His resume and portfolio seem sound, but I'd sure like to know where he came from. Well, that is a valid concern, and a very good point at that. So, just for you, here is a little bit about where I went to school and what I did while there. Maybe we have something in common?
John Carroll University
I went to John Carroll University starting in 2012 and ending in 2016, where I was a Major in Communications as well as a Minor in East Asian Studies. For my efforts, I received the Alan R. Stephenson Scholarship for my accomplishments in the fields of Communications, and placed on the Dean's List every semester since becoming eligible. I was also invited to join the Eta Eta chapter of the Lambda Pi Eta Communications Society, to which I gladly accepted. More topically, I participated in several theatrical productions, including being the lead in a one-act play, and a regular cast member in several radio plays (broadcast from our on-campus radio station, WJCU). I also took several classes to improve my voice acting craft, including theater, acting, audio engineering, improv, and singing.
St. Edward High School
Earlier, I attended St. Edward High School in Lakewood Ohio. While there I received a well rounded education under a college preparatory curriculum. I made First Honors every semester, and participated in AP/Honors English for four years. I was a part of the St. Edward newspaper, fencing club, and cinema society, and volunteered at several community meals and after school programs. I also received the Religious Education Student of the Year award upon graduation.
